Cookie Policy

Last Updated: March 12, 2026

This Cookie Policy supplements our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle personal data more broadly. It explains what cookies are, which categories we use on kalyra.school, and how you can manage your choices.

1) What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, to keep sessions secure, to remember preferences, and to measure site performance.

In addition to cookies, similar technologies may be used in modern web measurement, such as pixel tags (small pieces of code that record page views or conversions) and server-side logging. Where these technologies involve processing personal data (for example, an IP address or cookie identifier), they are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

2) Cookie lifespans and origin

Cookies can be categorized by how long they remain on your device:

  • Session cookies expire when you close your browser. They support basic site functionality such as maintaining a session.
  • Persistent cookies remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them. They help remember preferences and support measurement over time.

Cookies can also be categorized by who sets them:

  • First-party cookies are set by kalyra.school.
  • Third-party cookies are set by a provider whose services are used on the site (for example, analytics or advertising measurement providers), subject to your consent where required.

3) Categories of cookies we use

We use three categories of cookies. The categories match the controls in our cookie banner and cookie preferences modal.

A) Essential cookies (always on)

Essential cookies are required for the site to function and cannot be switched off in our cookie controls. They support core behavior such as maintaining session continuity and remembering your cookie preferences choice.

B) Analytics cookies (optional)

Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages are viewed and how users move through the website. This information helps us improve content structure and usability. Analytics cookies are enabled only if you consent.

When used, our analytics setup is designed to reduce data exposure where practical (for example, IP anonymization when supported by the provider). Analytics data is used in aggregate for site improvement and operational decisions.

C) Marketing cookies (optional)

Marketing cookies help measure advertising performance and build relevant audiences for remarketing. They may record events such as page views and conversions (for example, when a user submits a form). Marketing cookies are enabled only if you consent.

We do not use marketing cookies to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you. They are used for conversion attribution and audience building in a typical digital advertising workflow.

4) Cookie table

The table below lists cookies commonly associated with the categories above. Actual cookie behavior may vary depending on your consent choice, browser settings, and whether optional tools are activated.

Name Purpose Category Type Retention
_site_session Site session continuity Essential First-party Session
cookie_consent Stores your consent choice Essential First-party 12 months
_ga GA4 user identifier Analytics Third-party 2 years
_ga_XXXXXXXXXX GA4 session state (10-char GA4 ID) Analytics Third-party 2 years
_gcl_au Google Ads conversion linker Marketing Third-party 90 days
_fbp Meta Pixel browser identifier Marketing Third-party 90 days
_fbc Meta Pixel click identifier Marketing Third-party 90 days

Notes:

  • Cookie names and retention may differ based on provider updates and configuration.
  • If you reject optional categories, those cookies are not set by our site logic, and any existing related cookies may be removed where feasible.

5) Third-party providers

Depending on your consent choice, we may use the following providers:

  • Google LLC (Google Analytics 4, Google Ads, Tag Manager): measurement and conversion attribution when enabled.
  • Meta Platforms (Pixel and related measurement tools): advertising measurement and audience building when enabled.
  • Cloudflare (CDN and security): helps protect the site and improve delivery performance.

We do not permit these providers to use site data for their own independent commercial purposes. When third-party services are used, they act as service providers under our instructions, subject to their own policies and technical constraints.

6) How to manage your cookie preferences

You can manage cookie choices in three ways:

  • Site controls: use the “Manage cookie preferences” link in the footer to open the cookie banner and settings.
  • Browser settings: most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. Note that blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of the site from working.
  • Provider settings: some providers offer opt-out mechanisms (for example, browser add-ons or ad preference controls). These options are maintained by the providers and may change over time.

If you withdraw consent, we will stop using the relevant cookie category going forward. Withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred before the withdrawal.
